Code is F1 which refers to J2 and says it has shorted. Do I need to replace control board or something else??? The meat probe which lets you know when done no longer works either. What part might I need for that? Might it be better to replace oven?
Answer Hello Robert,
You will want to check resistance of the oven sensor and the Meat probe. The oven sensor should read a resistance of 1100 ohms at room temperature and the meat probe should read resistance of approximately 18963 ohms at 122 degrees. The resistance range gets higher as the temperature deceases. At 150 degrees the resistance is 9938 ohms, and at 156.2 resistance is at 8846 ohms. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
