Answer Hello Annetteds. You can remove the screws securing the old igniter, and pull the wires out of the hole until the wire can be cut. Then you will cut the wires and splice the new igniter 31939701 into the unit using ceramic wire nuts TJMA01166-1. Hope this helps.
