Power is on oven will not work, tried doing self clean it appears to work but shuts off in less than 1 minute. Seems to be ignite but suspicious something else is going on. Is it the igniter?

Answer Hello Graham. Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Hello. Trying to find correct oven bake igniter for Amana Agds901ww. Current bake igniter installed in oven has ceramic bad approx 1.5 inches long. Replacement part has longer ceramic. What is the correct part number to order?

The igniter for the broiler at the top of my oven is a flat ceramic igniter that appears to be identical to the one used at the bottom for the oven burner, yet when I enter the model number, the part that comes up for the top burner (which I assume means the broiler) is a spark igniter that does not look like what is used in my stove. Is it possible my Amana model uses the same type igniter for the upper broiler as well as the lower oven burner, and is that what I should order???for the upper broiler. Thanks

The oven comes on and heats, and gets to temp. At higher temp the oven will shut off and not turn back on. I believe the igniter is "worn out" and fails at higher temps. or, is it more likely the thermometer/thermostat?

Answer Hello Mike, As long as the ignitor is getting between 3.2 to 3.6 amps then it would be fine. You may want to check your oven temp sensor. If the sensor is reading improperly it will cause unit to possibly not cycle back on.

Amana Gas oven ARG7302WW, my oven ignitor looks different than yours 786324 that you picture as ignitor for this stove. Ceramic portion of my ignitor is only 1.5 inches.
