I'm working on an oven model gy399lxub1. The oven is running about 20° hotter than the read out on the panel. There is no error code, I suspect the temperature sensor. Is the temperature control on this system self calibrating?
Answer Hello Jim,
While the temperature sensor could be out of tolerance, (should read about 1100 ohms at about 70°F), the control is also manually settable by 35° above and below default. This is accomplished by the following: 1. Press BAKE. 2. Enter 550° by pressing the appropriate number pads. 3. Immediately press and hold BAKE pad for several seconds or until “0°” appears in the display. If the oven temperature was previously adjusted, the change will be displayed. For example, if the oven temperature was reduced by 15 degrees the display will show “-15°.” This information is assuming the model number is YGY399LXUB10 since the model number you posted did not come up as a valid model number.
F-7 code keeps coming on, press cancel to stop, but comes right back on. Had to unplug stove to stop. Is this the oven sensor? Have been having problems with the panel not staying light up.
The issue with your unit would be caused by a stuck key on the control pad. This would require the clock to be replaced which unfortunately has been discontinued by the manufacturer. The part number is 12001611.
