F-7 code keeps coming on, press cancel to stop, but comes right back on. Had to unplug stove to stop. Is this the oven sensor? Have been having problems with the panel not staying light up.
The issue with your unit would be caused by a stuck key on the control pad. This would require the clock to be replaced which unfortunately has been discontinued by the manufacturer. The part number is 12001611.
Hi on the oven the code f3e5 oven temp sensor so replaced it. the oven still won't work and the same code comes up. Does the wiring harness need to also be replaced?
Answer Kim, There isn't an F3E5 error code for your range,(probably a typo). Occasionally a sensor wire harness is needed, but very seldom. Try this, disconnect the oven sensor harness from the ERC/Clock. With a meter, check each wire in the connector to the chassis, there should be no resistance reading. If there is then the wire is chafed or shorted to ground, and will need to be repaired or replaced. Then place the meter leads between the openings in the connector, you should have a resistance reading of 1050 to 1100 ohms. This will verify that the sensor and the wire harness are in tact and operational. If the readings are correct, you will need to replace the ERC/Clock 6610463.
