I recently ordered replacement compressor relay and overload part number 4387535. The "kit" has two pieces. The overload fits fine, I re-attached the red wire to it. However the relay does not seem to fit.I have a blue wire and white wire that need to be re-attached. The white wire's female end is smaller than the blue and does not fit onto any of the terminals on the relay. There are also four terminals on the new relay, so I don't know which two to use. I also cannot figure out the purpose of the red wire that came with the kit? Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 13 year old whirlpool fridge. I have the kit with klaxon and overload with red wire. There is 1 red wire which I know goes to the overload, but there are 2 white wires that connect to only 1 pin on the relay. Unfortunately, I didn't make note of which terminal I pulled them off. They are together and both connect to 1 terminal on the relay, but I can't remember whether it was terminal 1 or 2? Could you help?

I pulled the wire to the relay from refrigerator. There are wires leading to the overload and relay, red and white. I haven't removed the overload and wire attached. I did remove the relay and white wire. The relay has a rattle inside. After reading it sounds like its bad due to the rattle inside. I didnt pay attention to which terminal that white wire attaches to when I pulled it off. There are numbers on each terminal, which terminal does the white wire attach to on the relay when replaced? How do I tell if the overload needs replacement too? How to test to see if its still good? Inital observation when the unit wasnt getting cold, everything powered up inside the fridge. Lights on, fans inside on, and fan down by the compressor on. After hearing few clicks from the compressor trying to turn on I unplugged it and waited 30sec. Plugged it back in and only lights were on. No Fans working. Did the relay cause everything to cease working or is it something else causing the fans to stop working. Read something about stuck in Defrost Mode, if thats the case or it just need more time for fans to kick back on? TY for help
