Put a new compressor in this unit yesterday. Was not cooling before, so we ordered a new compressor. Was running and cooling last nite. Checked this AM to see if temp was where it was suppose to be. Refer was running, display board not on. Shut the power button off on display board. Back on, no display. Shut breaker to refer for a few minutes, back on. Display panel very dim, and slowly got brighter. Now its on fully illuminated, blinking on and off, and beeping. Compressor runs, but fans are not. I can move the temp controls up and down on the digital control, keeps blinking and beeping. help! thanks, steve
Answer Hello Steve. Test for proper power from the power board to the elect control. If it is there, then the control board is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Hi my refrigerator will not turn on. Breaker is good. Power at outlet is good. Nothing will turn on, completely dead. Others have posted that the control board is bad, but that makes no sense if nothing turns on. Hope you can help.
You will want to check the main control board on the 3 pin connector that has pin 1 as a green wire with yellow tracer, black wire as pin 2 and white as pin 3. Test from black to white and there should be 120 vac. If there is 120 vac then the control board would be the issue with the failure. This control board supplies power to the lights, the fans, the compressor inverter board and the display control. The part number that would be needed is 2252159. If there is not power then this would most likely be the on off switch that is faulty.
