How do I go about replacing the ice paddle on my magic chef side by side ice dispenser. We had a repairman here yesterday and two of them didn't know how to go about this.

Answer Si, There are 3 possible access procedures for that style fridge. The likeliest is, The front dispenser panel(escutcheon) is removable. You'll need a flat bladed tool(putty knife, or the like) slip the blade between the front panel of the freezer door and the escutcheon pnel,and carefully pry out all the way around the panel. The other possibility, is a similar mounting system, but there is foam padded two(2) sided tape holding the panel to the front of the door. The least likeliest is , there is a panel on the inside of the freezer door liner, underneath the small door bin, you should see a panel seam, if thats the case. But once you get the escutcheon off and remove the interior switch panel cover, you'll have access to the switches , paddles and pivots. Good Luck !
