Heater in drip pan has stopped working, ordered a new one, is it possible to check if it is heating coil (coiled wire around drain pan) or power coming from plug?
Answer Hello Randall,
When this pan freezes up the manufacturer recommends to simply replace it. They give no readings for a proper test. Also, the clear hose needs an "X" cut in the lowest point of this clear drain hose since it has issues with freezing. This will allow the water to slowly leak out without introducing air into the hose. This, by the way, is advised by the manufacturers' technical assistance line.
