The control panel was flashing lights and no button control would function George F. • Lighthouse Point, FL • December 07, 2014 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL QUIET PARTNER IV GU3600XTSY2 My Repair & Advice Tested the electronic brain by disconnecting and reconnecting power. No change. Conducted the diagnostic tests suggested in the dishwasher documentation, indicating that the control panel was defective. With a new control panel, disconnected the ribbon plugs from the old panel, reconnected them to the new panel. It's a total of six star-screws, some plastic clips and re-plugging a couple of ribbons. Repair took less than five minutes. But, then, I did this same repair two years ago with the same part, so I knew the sequence. This part must fail regularly, so I am a bit disappointed in the QC of the design by the original manufacturer, Whirlpool. I expect I will be making the same repair in another two years.
