I have a Kenmore dishwasher the control panel is not responsive, no lights. The switch and the thermal fuse have continuity. I disconnected control panel and restored power and the drain motor came on. Does this mean the control panel is bad? I look forward to your response. Thank you for your time.
the panel number is w10459134
Yes, with the lights on the control not coming on this would be an indication that either there is a loose ribbon harness connection, corrosion on the ribbon harness or the control panel is faulty. Try to disconnect the ribbon harness and make sure that there is not corrosion and make sure that it is seated firmly. If it is then the control panel would be at fault and need to be replaced.
Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful
Is this the overlay for identifying the control pressure switches at the top/front of the door assembly for a white dishwasher. If it is how is it attached?
Answer Hello Ken. Yes, W10459134 is the control panel. You will need to disconnect the power and remove the inner door liner from the unit. Then remove the control board and the screws securing the control panel to the door panel of the unit. Install new part in reverse order, making sure the ribbon cable is seated properly into the control board.
