I have just ordered a replacement touch pad, Part #6-919766. I am looking for specific instructions on how to install it. Can someone please give me some guidance? Thanks.

Answer Hello Fronesis. 1. Disconnect power to the machine.
2. Remove the Inner Door Panel. (See paragraph Inner
Door Panel removal).
3. Remove PC Board Housing Cover. (See paragraph
PC Board removal).
4. Disconnect Membrane Switch from PC Board.
5. Remove PC Board Base.
6. Lift out Latch Assembly.
7. Remove 4 screws securing Control Panel to Outer
Door.
Jenn Air dishwasher. The only way to get the touch pad to light up is to hit the delay button. When you hit the delay button the lights turn on for the variuos functions, except the start cancel button doesn't light or work. After a short period of time the lights go out again. Any recommendations on which part I may need?

Answer Hello Bruce. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control panel 6-919766 is bad and will need to be replaced. Check and make sure the ribbon cable is clean and dry and is installed properly in the control board. If so, and the problem continues, you will need to replace the control panel. Hope this helps.
