i had a power surge and my electric range started to beep and flashing a error code of F1-E1. i am told its a control panel or board or touch pad. the cook top comes on but the oven does not work.not sure of the model #. My use and care guide has model numbers of RF340BXK,RF341BXK AND RFK361PXK. ARE ALL THESE PARTS INTERCHANGEABLE?
Bill
Answer Bill, The power surge, most likely caused the control board to "scramble" and become inoperative " F1E1 EEPROM checksum failure SUGGESTED CORRECTIVE ACTION PROCEDURE 1. Unplug range or disconnect power longer than 30 seconds. 2. Plug in range or reconnect power. 3. Observe for longer than 1 minute. 4. If failure remains, go to step 5. 5. Unplug range or disconnect power. 6. Replace control" Unfortunately, the control board 4453710 is no longer available from the manufacturer. I just installed this part but in the middle of installation I was distracted and don't know which way the ribbon connector fits into the control module.
Ed for Model Number 6--91825
Answer Hello Ed,
Since you didn't list a model number I can't send you any illustrations, but looking at the control panel, it does not twist. The ribbon cable should lay flat and double back up to the control.
What are the steps to replace Panel-con WPL 6-919825?
Curt for Model Number MDB 7601AWB
Answer Hello Curt,
To replace the control panel 6-919825, first disconnect power to unit. Once power is disconnected then you would want to remove the torx head screws around the inner perimeter door. Once the screws are removed then you will lift the inner door panel. With inner door panel lifted look for the 1/4" screws that hold the control panel in place. Remove control board and latch assembly, remove control panel and put new panel on and reinstall.
