With the washer plugged in no buttons pushed, the washer will start beeping(no fault codes on the display)can get the washer to work only after unplugging for a while.if the washer is left plugged in over night, beeping is constant and won't respond to any buttons, unplug for a couple of hours and beeping stops and can start cycles as normal.is there a test plan for the button panel and control boards?our dryer had a test plan to use a meter and run through various tests.
Answer Ray, the quickest , easiest test for you to do, is unplug the console ribbon from the control board and plug the power cord back in. and let sit. No beeping issues, then replace the console assembly. If the control continues to beep with the ribbon disconnected, indicates a bad control board. Here's the test process from the service manual "Console Switches and Indicators Test The console switches and indicators can be tested by pressing the following touchpads: SOAK - CYCLE SIGNAL - SOAK - CYCLE SIGNAL within five (5) seconds while the machine is in Standby Mode. The 7-segment LED will display “dt”. 1. Press the START pad. Pressing each touchpad will cause a beep to sound and control one or more LEDs as shown. If none of the LEDs light up: Visually check that connectors P11 and P12 are inserted all the way into the machine controller. If these connectors are properly installed, remove P11 and P12 from the control board while the
power is still on. If a particular group of LEDs does not light up: • A group or combination of LEDs share a common electronic connection. If this connection is open, all of the LEDs in the group will be disabled. Replace the console panel/touchpad assembly. If a single LED does not light up: • Press the touchpad associated with the LED several times. If the LED does not light up, the LED has failed. Replace the console panel/touchpad assembly. If no beep sound is heard: • If the associated LEDs do light up, it is possible that the beeper circuit has failed. Check touchpad functioning before replacing the control board. If no washer function is activated when a particular touchpad is pressed: • If the associated LEDs do light up, it is possible that the control board has failed. Check touchpad functioning before replacing the control board." Thanks and Good Luck
