Our dishwasher only works on one cycle, the china wash. Do we need to replace the control panel or the circuit board?
Answer JK, You will need to start by replacing the control panel / keypad assembly 3384234. The keypad(s) are the most likely issue and per the manufacturer the place to start first. The manufacturer didn't include a keypad matrix, to test the keypad circuits with a meter, and recommends that procedure.
The No Heat Dry/Lock light is on when the door is closed. The light is constant (does not blink). Followed instructions to un-lock but that did not work. No other buttons operate. Tried resetting by cutting power but that did not work. I would like to confirm that that the problem is the keypad and not the computer.
Also, are your part original or refurbished?
Answer Louis, Unfortunately, the manufacturer has removed the keypad test matrix from the tech data sheet. Based on the post information, we recommend you start by replacing the control panel / keypad assembly 3384340. It is more susceptible to usage and malfunctions than the control board." If a key without a light is stuck or multiple keys are stuck, the control will flash the Lock-Out light." All indications are you have a "stuck" keypad(s). Don't forget to conduct the rapid advance and diagnostics cycle feature to reset the eeprom on the control board back to the factory settings.
