I would like to know how to remove the cooktop to access back of the control panel. Thank you for your help.

Answer Hi Wayne. Remove power. Remove the door. Use a putty knife to release the front hidden clips to push the top and lift it off. You migjht use a 2x4 to support the smooth top once lifted. Then you will remove the end caps, knobs, and hidden screws under the panel. Then you will have access to the control panel part # 32061702W. Thank you.
I ordered part number 32061702W because the digital clock and temp reading were hard to read. I just received the part mentioned above however, I am not sure that the part I ordered has the digital readout.

Answer Hello Jim! The model given, als7270aw, does not match as a valid model number. I have located a model ACS7270AW. The membrane switch panel part number 32061702W does not have the display, this is the touchpad only. The electronic control board is the part needed for the digital read out. We will need you to recheck the model number and also supply the serial number to verify the correct part number. Thanks!
