Machine has power. All functions work. Just wont start when start button is pushed. Not sure what I need to order.
You will want to check the door switch for continuity when the door is closed and check the blower thermal fuse to make sure that it has continuity. If either one does not have continuity then that is the issue and the part would need to be replaced. If they check ok then the user interface would most likely be the issue.
I need to order a User Control interface #8563974 because the plastic piece behind the Start button broke. However, I'm not sure how I'm going to get this piece pryed off of the console board. (W10110325). It looks like it's been glued on and if I'm looking at this correctly, those two pieces are purchased separately. HELP!!!!
To remove the user interface you will first unplug power to the unit and remove the control panel. Disconnect the user interface cable connector from the machine control board, connector P5. Pull The knob off the shaft and remove the 3 screws in the UI board cover. Using a flat blade screwdriver, pry the 2 locking tabs out, and unclip them, then remove the UI cover from the console. You will then need to remove the encoder by lifting the locking tab and turn the encoder to the left (counter clockwise) as far as it will go. Lift the encoder straight up so that the shaft slides out of the rubber console seal. and remove it from the console. NOTE: Do not flex the encoder ribbon cable wires that the UI or they could break. Using a flat blade screwdriver you will then carefully pry the front edge of the user interface board up, then pull the board forward, and remove it from the console.
