I just replaced the sensor in my wall oven. Temperature still goes above setpoint by 125 degrees. Any other suggestions?
Answer Hello Mitch. If you replaced the temperature sensor, and the unit is still overheating, you will need to replace the control board 74008995. Hope this helps.
What causes oven temp to rise above setpoint by 100 degrees?
Answer Hello Mitch. You will need to test the oven temperature sensor 12001656 and see if it is bad. The sensor should read around 1100 ohms at room temperature. If it is bad, it can cause the problems your having. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
