I've bought the new PCB assembly from AppliancePartsPros but can't figure out how to get the old card out of the dishwasher- I've removed all the screws I can see but the card still won't budge. I asked this question last week but didn't get an answer.

Answer Hello Richard. Here are the instructions from the manufacture. Hope thiis helps. PC Board Removal 1. Disconnect power to the machine. 2. Remove the Inner Door Panel. 3. To access PC Board, remove 1/4" screw on PC Board Housing Cover. 4. To remove PC Board, loosen (2) 1/4" screws securing PC Board Base to Control Panel. 5. Remove pin and ribbon connectors from PC Board. 6. Depress tabs on PC Board Housing to remove PC Board.

The dishwasher will only wash on the light cycle (and not well at that) in the other cycles it simply hangs up and will progress no further. I assume that I should replace the PCB assembly- Should I troubleshoot any further? If so, how?

Answer Hello Richard. You will need to test the thermal switch 99001852 and the heater 99002360 and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity. Hope this helps.

We have the American style Whirlpool fridge/freezer, which has two PCBs. One in front and one in back. The front ones part No. Is 48124553888051 and the rear PCB part No. Is 481221778213. Could you advise which one controls the defrost function. I have replaced the freezer thermostat and also the heating element but the unit does not defrost itself, so I have to manually defrost it every 2 weeks. If I can identify which unit controls the defrost function then I can either replace the PCB or better still replace the defective electrical component?

Answer Hello Gerry, The rear control board would control defrost.

My dishwasher quit working, no lights on control panel, nothing. I checked voltage on door switch. I have 110v on black wires and around 9v on the white wires. Is this a control board problem or something else?

Answer Hello Scott. Test for power coming to the control board. If there is power coming to the control board, but there is nothing working on the unit, it sounds like you need to replace the control board 99002824 on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
