What is the function of the pin locator? Can the dryer work properly with one pin locator cracked? Thanks, Mike
Answer Hello Michael,
The pin locator is only used to align the body for proper clearance from the drum and the other panels. It is also useful in vibration noise control. As long as nothing is rubbing during operation, this part can be dis-regarded.
where exactly is this item suppose to be installed inside of the cabinet?
Answer Michael, Other than the locating tabs, that secure the "skate" plate to the tub support, there are no screws. Have you checked the base frame and the skate plate pads for damage, stuck ,or being bent ? And are the rear self levelling legs, "locking" in position ? You may also want to check the spin tub balance ring for cracks or holes and the fluid for a "sloshing" noise, when you shake it. Thanks and Good Luck
