Wow do you remove the protector? I removed the screw but it still acts like something is holding it.

Answer Hello. Once the screw is removed, you lift up the end where the screw was at and the part comes out.
I have the Quiet Partner III and it has a loud hum while the agitator is running. It pumps water in and out fine but is very noisy when cleaning. I say hum but it maybe a vibration.

Answer Hello Don. Check and make sure nothing is stuck inside the chopper assembly 8268383 and making the noise. If it is clear, you will need to replace the pump motor W10231537 on the unit. Hope this helps.
