Trying to get a drain pump for a Kitchenaide Ice Maker. Is this a drain pump that will drain the water from the unit? I do not want a circulating pump. Kitchenaide's part # is PS331918 that I need for our home ice maker. Thanks, Rob J.

I'm need to replace my current Marvel water removal pump (tp # 41005044. I'm being told this pump is not available. My question is the Whirlpool 1901a pump a closed system? Meaning if the pump should fail will it a) shut down the ice maker, and, b) not allow the water from the melting ice to leak out the pump sump.

Greetings: I seem to be having a problem with my drain pump. I noticed that it doesn't always pump out the water even though the reservoir is full (and the big has water in it). I also noticed that (sometimes) when the pump starts it kills power to the rest of the icemaker (i.e. the light goes out and the LEDs flash). This causes the icemaker reset and start the icemaking cycle again (even when ice is on the evaporator). Does this seem like a drain pump problem? Also, do you guys have instructions (i.e. current KUIC15PRXS service manual) to help me replace the drain pump? thanks. -Curtis

Does this pump come with installation instructions as I will be adding it to a new Whirlpool ice maker and not replacing an old one? Whirlpool recommends this kit if you can't gravity drain the unit. I will be draining into the garbage disposal just like the old GE ice maker I'm replacing with the new Whirlpool unit.

Hi. I have a Kenmore icemaker and it appears that something (animal) has chewed through the drain pump resevoir. Can I buy only this part as the unit functions as it is other than the leak?
