Hello I have a kitchen aid dish washer and it seems to not wash the dishes on the top shelf as well anymore, the motor and pump runs and some of the dishes are getting washed as well as it still drains. what else could be the problem???
Answer John, There are a couple of things to check right off the bat, the water level and the water temperature. Without the proper amount of water in the dishwasher, the pump cannot pressurize and move the water sufficiently to properly wash. It's an easy check to make, start the dishwasher on a wash cycle, allow the machine to fill and wash for 3 to 5 minutes. Unlatch the door, open the door and remove the lower rack, observe the water level in the bottom of the tub. The water level in your machine should be in contact with the bottom of the heater element, or within 1/8 inch below the element, any less than that and the pump won't operate properly. Also make sure the water temperature in the tub at this time is at least 120 dgrs. F. for proper cleaning and chemical reaction with the detergents.

Installation guide? Seems motor want come out stuck on something.
Answer I'm sorry, there does not seem to be any installation guide available for this. Have you removed the mounting clamps that hold the motor down? Also, if you are ordering a new pump and motor assembly W10428778, please keep in mind you will also have to order a new harness 8271507. Hope this helps you!
