Hello, I have a Maytag Neptune front load washer MAH3000AAW (serial 32196205UW ). Intermittemtyl, when I start a wash, the water begins to flow then approx 5 secs later the machine turns off. I have found a reasonable whack or three on the side of the control panel will get it going or turning the timer thru a couple of cycles may also work. When the machine powers off like this, I notice the drum has not started to turn when the water is going in. When it works properly, the water flow and drum motor start simultaneously. the machine can be ok for a week sometimes and then it plays up for a while then settles again.Once the machine starts ok, it seems to go thru the whole wash routine without a problem. I wonder if it is the timer thats dodgey. The machine was purchased new in New Zealand approx 11 yrs ago. It looks like ot has a large transformer at the bottom right to reduce the voltage from 240 to 110. I have already replace the motor and motor control board with the upgrade. The wax motor packed it in years ago and the resistor and diode thingy on the control board are burned out . I have locked on the wax motor switch so the spin cycle works ok since then. The rubber door boot is very moldy as needs replacement. The existing timer is part # 6 2711040. The label on the timer looks like: 9838 8259XXC M620 MAYTAG 6 2711040 0 2 4 6 8 10 12 14 T/C + + + + + + + + B/C + + + + + + Could you please advise i fyou have a timer to replace this one as I have not found any reference to 6 2711040 anywhere on the net. Also could I please have a shipping cost to New Zealand. Hope this in sufficient info for you Kind Regards, Steve
