The Water dispenser paddle is no longer working to dispense water. ( Ice maker works fine.) For awhile, you could reposition the glass on one side of the paddle and it would dispense but was very touchy- you had to get it in just the right place for it to dispense water - if you moved the glass very slightly it would stop dispensing, but if you could find that tricky little spot again, it would dispense water. Now it won't dispense at all.

I have replaced the eloectric eye transmitter and receiver boards and unit still does not make ice. The original symptoms were water would overflow when filling ice cube tray, but would stop when power disconnected. The hinged door on the receiver board was broken and has been removed. Is this door essential for icemaker operation?

Answer Dick, Yes, the Flipper 2198633 and spring [ AP3037555} are pretty essential for proper ice maker operation, and safety, It temporarily stops the ice maker operation cycle when the freezer door is opened. The overflowing water to the ice maker is more of a water inlet valve W10408179 or ice maker cycle issue 2198597 , so you'll want to check those next

My icemaker stopped working in my Whirlpool GD5HDAXVY02. When I open the freezer door, the LED flash twice than pulses and then continues again and again. When I close the flapper the LED continues to flash the same. Is this an indication the Refrigerator P. C. Board Kit is bad?

Answer DJG, The first thing that you will want to check is above the left hinge there is a wire harness. You will want to make sure that the wire harness does not have any loose or broken wires. If this checks ok then it sounds like the dispenser control is what would be at fault.

Answer Hello Joel. It sounds like the boards are not the issue. You either have another issue causing the no ice, or there is a wiring issue with the wires or connectors for the boards. It is very, very, uncommon for the board to go out that quick.
