The "Replace Water Filter" light has been on for a while on my Maytag Refrigerator. I replaced the filter but the light did not reset. How do I get the light to turn off?

Answer Hello! Per your use and care manual: To reset the CHANGE FILTER light: Press and hold the LIGHT and LOCK pads until the CHANGE FILTER light blinks (approx 3 seconds). The control is now reset for 12 month or another 416 gallons. Hope that helps!

My refridgerator is running too cold. It freezes everything including the water filter when turned down even to two. What needs to be replaced or is the fridge shot?

Answer Hello Steve. There are actually several parts I would replace so I wouldn't have to worry with this issue again. First the temperature control 61005516. Second the air return door 61006081. The last thing I would replace is the air damper control 61005989. This part has been modified and comes as a housing assembly. These three parts pretty much cover the air circulation for the fresh food compartment. Let us know if we can provide any more assistance! Have a great day!
