This 40+ year old freezer keeps warming up. When I turn it off for an hour or so then back on, the compressor kicks in and it freezes just fine - when it gets down to temperature and turns off, it will NEVER COME ON AGAIN until I go through the process (turn off, wait) again. It makes clicking sounds, but the compressor will not come on. I was told it was the thermostat, which is no longer available, but it sounds like it might be the relay - which IS available. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hello. I have an older GE Coldspot refrigerator that needs the start relay replaced. I ordered part #4318083 but I'm not sure how to connect the wires. I have 1 white wire going to the common terminal on the compressor and 1 small red wire that connects to what I think is the overload. A larger red wire comes out of the overload and connects to the start relay. How do I hook up the new start relay? Thanks, Brian.

I just purchased part no 4318083 relay starter for a older model. I have a red and white wire from the plug but the new relay has 3 prongs for hookup. 1 on the left and 2 on the right. The instructions are worthless and do not say which wire goes where. Any assistance would be appreciated
