The front panel of the door on our dishwasher will not stay on. There is a grey piece that is at the bottom of the door but I think there is a white piece missing. Is this the part I need to fix?
Answer Mandy, Yes, there are two components needed to retain the door panel to the door 3374716 Channel Retainer, and 3374011 Retainer. Here's a little help : Loosen but do not remove the two (2) toe panel screws below the access panel. Remove and set aside the two (2) screws above the access panel. 2. Remove the access panel assembly by sliding it upward to clear the loosened screws. Remove the two (2) screws from the bottom of the outer door panel. Pull the bottom of the outer door panel outward and slide it down approximately ¼” to ½”. The panel will then be free for removal. Reverse the procedure and test the door for proper clearances and operation.
water leaks out at bottom of door during operation of dishwasher what part do we need to replace? there doesn't seem to be a gasket at the bottom of the door.
Answer Maureen, You really need to check for a proper fill level, after a 5 minute fill and wash, the water level in the tub should contact the bottom of the heating element to 1/2 the element. You also need to check the lower spray arm W10164258 and seal 3369045 for clogged jets, hairline cracks or splits, causing water to be directed at the bottom of the door. Those are the more common issues, when water leaks from the bottom of the door. Good Luck and Thanks
