I found this part laying in the bottom of the dishwasher. It's not broke and I am trying to figure out where it goes on the lower rack and how it attaches? Your diagram of the lower shows the part but not where or how it attaches to the lower rack.
Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated!

Answer Hello Bob,
There is a flip over rack that can be moved up or down to accommodate for different size dishes. The part that you have illustrated is an end piece to it that holds the flip over rack in different positions. Once you determine where the end of the rack is positioned, the part you showed fits in the rack so the flip over part can mesh with it to hold its' position. It just snaps onto the rack.
