Most Interesting

I ran a auto diagnostic, got a f71 code, checked pressure switch hose and made sure basket was floating manually, and it was. However, after moving tub up and down a few times, it started to stick. Grabbing hold of the tub in a different location I was able to move the tub up and down once again, but it started to stick again. Went into manual diagnostic to the spin test, and got a lot of noise when the tub nearly reached top speed. I then went to the RPS test, and that test failed. Status lights would not light up when I manually rotated the basket. I once again ran a auto diagnostics test. This time I got an f72 code as well as the f71 code. The drain pump is working good, discharge hose correct, lid lock is working. I wasn't able to check resistance at P-5 and P10 at the controller. Didn't think that was an issue seeing that the controllers worked in diagnostics. Unless I have an EEPROM problem. What do you think?

Just replaced bearings, shaft, seal using the special tool. Still getting a louder than normal sound during spin cycle(the faster is spins the louder it is) but still much quietter than before I replaced the bearings. Could it be stator? there is a slight crack in the plastic but the windings look good or could it be bad rotor?

Whirlpool Cabrio - I have a washing machine that sounds like it has gears slipping during the spin cycle. What is the most likely cause? I think it is this part (http://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-rotor-280146-ap3882831.html) but several people mention bearings. Is there a positive way to tell one way or the other? Thank you!
