Most Interesting

Whirlpool Cabrio - I have a washing machine that sounds like it has gears slipping during the spin cycle. What is the most likely cause? I think it is this part (http://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-rotor-280146-ap3882831.html) but several people mention bearings. Is there a positive way to tell one way or the other? Thank you!

There is a button or coin trapped down in the motor assembly. Before taking apart, is there a kit or certain gaskets that I should have available to replacement?

I have a Maytag Bravo and we noticed water on the floor under the machine. I looked under the machine and notived water and a black greasy ring on the floor under the rotor. I also noticed the screw holding the rotor on had come loose and backed out of the rotor about 3/4 of an inche. I tightened this and blocked up the machine and run it thru the cycle. When it got to the agitating part of the cycle it was leaking around the rotor. I like the machine and want to fix it. Is this a seal ?

I am having a similar problem that I see so many others having. I get the UL code when the rinse and spin cycle starts. When the cycle starts, there is a rubbing sound. When the UL stops the drum, I open it and try rotating the drum the rubbing sound is still there. I thought it was the bearings, but I removed the rotor from the stator and then rotated the drum and the sound and resistance is gone and it rotates smooth and quiet. The rotor is covered in black dust. Do I need a new rotor? Thanx.
