If the capacitor non polarity vac210 12 uF is different vac 210 15 uF. Can that be use even though the micro p. different from 12uf to 15uf? Thanks

How do you test run capacitor? OHM meter nothing. Its electronic. So??

Answer Hello Rich, You will need a capacitor tester to truely test this part. Some meters have these on them, and some do not. Hope this helps.

Answer Lisa, You will want to check to make sure that the unit is not in a defrost cycle. When you look at the control panel in the refrigerator, if you look at the bottom there will be a hole. If you take a flat blade screw driver and stick it in the hole and turn the defrost timer til it clicks, see if the unit cycles on. If not continue to turn til there is another click and you would want to check to make sure that the fans are running and if they are then check to see if the compressor is running. It may be a bad thermostat or a sealed system issue.

My refrigerator stopped working after a power outage and will no longer cool or freeze. I took the back off and the run capacitor clicks like it is trying to start the condenser. All fans and everything else seem to work, so is the run capacitor bad?

My refrigerator is not cooling the freezer has defrosted it make a buzzing sound. The fans are running could it be a relay or is it the compressor. I think the compresssor is running.

Answer Hello Ethan, If the relay has failed then the compressor would not run. You will want to double check to make sure that the compressor is running. If not then pull relay off and shake. If the relay rattles then the relay is faulty and you would need to replace.
