Is this part all that I need to order if the little black pin at the 2 o'clock position on the washer has broken off? The machine still runs fine if I carefully place the broken piece back in there and take care not to lose it, but would like an actual permanent fix. If so is there a diagram detailing how to actually replace this pin?

Answer Hello Nicole, Yes the safety pin would be the only part that you would have to replace. Just make sure washer and spring ar there as well.

How is this part installed ? 8181652 Safety Pin. From the diagram I can't see - does it "engage" into the spring some way?

Answer Hello Ron. Yes, the safety pin 8181652 slides inside the spring and the tab of the spring locks onto the lip under the safety pins head.

There is a small pin (plastic) at 2 o'clock position on washer opening that senses when door is closed by being pushed down when the door is closed. If not pushed down washer will not lock/start. I can not find part on drawings. Ordered one part (WPL 8181652)not it. Any ideas? So far found a section of the old broken part & have taped it from falling out but need to reset it each time.

Answer Hi Ben The door hook(strike) part # 8181651, aligns to the door latch part # is 8182634. When the door is closed , then it is monitored by the machine cont. board part # is 285924 and then it awaits commands sent fr5om the console panel/ user interface. Thank you.
