My refrigerator is about 6 to 8 years old I believe. It leaks air around a small gap in the rubber seal on the freezer top and sides. I can't find the right rubber seal to order. HELP. On the inside of the freezer a sticker says "18.5 cu. ft. Frostless Refrigerator--Freezer Model # HMG18104." Down below it says, Admiral Designer Seris. Thats it... nothing else anywhere on either door inside or out. Thank you.

How long do I soak the gasket and do I use the hair dryer on the gasket after I put the gasket on the freezer door? Also, do I need to turn off the refrig/freezer ?before I put the new gasket on? Thanks

Answer Hello Marlena. You will soak the gasket 63001612 for around 15 to 20 minutes and there is no need to disconnect the power to the unit.

Ice is forming on the top inside of my freezer compartment. I think the seal may be defective, but I'm not sure. Perhaps there is some other reason for ice forming in the compartment. How can I determine if a bad seal is responsible for the ice?

Answer Hello Dennis. Close the freezer door and look all around the door seal. If there is a gap in the door seal, and you can see a gap or a crack, you will need to replace the freezer door seal 63001612 in the unit.

Answer Debbie, there is no set top or bottom section when installing the freezer door gasket 63001612. You will need to pull the old gasket off and the new gasket will press into the door liner. It may be best to soak the new gasket in warm water to help take its form and once installed you can use a hair dryer to help form the gasket to the door- be careful to not melt the liner of the door. Answer Hello Debbie! To verify the correct part number used on your appliance we will need your appliance model number. However, we have a universal gasket as part number TJ90SU2002. This gasket is for a maximum door size of 32" X 42" and will need to be cut to fit. Thanks!

The seal on the freezer door of my Admiral LTF2112AR is no longer holding -- there's ice forming on the inside of the freezer on the top of the door and the top of the cabinet, and I can slide a dollar bill back and forth between the door and the cabinet when it's closed. How do I take off the old gasket and put on a new one? I recently replaced the fan in the freezer -- thanks to the advice on this forum!

Answer Hello Adrienne! For a black door gasket order 63001636. For a white door gasket order 63001612. Pull the old gasket off. It may be best to soak the new gasket in warm water to help take its shape/form. The new gasket will press into the door liner. You may need to use a hair dryer to form the seal, be careful not to melt it. Hope this helps!
