Hello, the top rack dishes are not cleaning properly, I have checked the spray arm holes and they seem ok. It spins freely also. I am thinking that the seal might be bad? I poured water into the water input pipe ( for the upper spray arm ) and it seemed to leak from near the seal. Not sure if that is normal, When I opened it up the seal looks ok, how can I tell that the seal is bad. Thanks

Is there a way to know if the upper spray arm seal is bad. I've seen that people often need to replace this part, but I can't really tell if there is a problem with mine. The pics online aren't close up enough to compare them with my seal. The upper arm isn't spinning. I don't know if it is getting enough water, but can see it is getting some, because it is dripping out when I open the door to check if it has spun.

Latest Questions

A grinding sound was mentioned above. The first time I ran the dishwasher after it had set for 3 1/2 years it made that sound. We have just replaced the motor /water pump assembly and the heater element. The water level seems to be just at the heater element and the bottom rack is getting cleaned but not the bottom. Additionally, an above question inquired about which type of screwdriver to use to undo the bottom assembly off of the upper wash arm in order to access the seal for the spray arm.

Top rack does not get wet. If we put glass upright, it does not get any water in it.
