My dryer is not shutting off or even registering the clothes are dry when using the sensor settings. Am having to use the timed dry. Could it be that the sensor bar needs to be replaced?

You need to check the exhaust duct and clear the restriction. If the timed dry works, the only thing that will prevent the auto dry cycles from working properly is a lack of air flow. I get lots of arguments about this but think of it like this: When the hot moist air cannot exit the unit, the sensors continue to sense the same moisture and the timer never advances. If you want to test this, remove the exhaust duct from the back of the dryer and start it on an auto dry cycle. You will see the timer advance within 5 to 10 minutes. If the sensor bars were bad, the timer would advance all the time because it would never see the moisture and the timer would cycle without ever stopping.
Even though I set my control to "delacate air fluff" the temperature doesn't drop from high. What's going on?

There are only two possibilities and it could be a combination of the two. You see, when air fluff is chosen, you break 120Vac off of the heater element. If the exhaust duct is restricted, heat will be held in the unit and appear to be still heating because the heat is blown past the felt dryer drum seals back into the cabinet where it is recirculated. The other possibility is a heating element Y308612 shorted to ground, causing a medium heat situation anytime the unit is running. While this is possible, it isn't likely because, as I said, this would be a medium heat situation. Since the heating element is designed to run on 240Vac, and if it's shorted to ground it will only have 120Vac on it, it would appear to be on low or medium heat at all times.....unless the exhaust duct is crimped or clogged.
Check the exhaust for crimps or clogs as this is the most probable cause and the most denied by customers. Remember the duct should be as short and straight as possible while being a full 4 inches for proper air flow.
