Ice machine has a external pump, not gravity feed. Machine will make ice but will not drain. If we move the machine it drains. The hoses are not kinked, they are all clean with no clogs anywhere. Once we move the machine it could work for a couple days, then it stops draining again and we have to move it again. Is there a water level sensor that we can replace? We have replaced the pump about a year ago.

This is a stand alone icemaker. I can hear the water running when the unit is started and it will go through a cycle but only produce a few pieces of ice. I found a broken wire on the cutting grid that the ice sheet falls onto to create the cubes but dont think this has anything to do with cubes not being produce. I want to know if it can be a thermostat or is there another sensor that may be not functioning to allow the ice to be made or could it be the compressor? Thank you

Ice maker makes ice, however it over fills the water. Water runs to long after ice cycle, and drains onto floor. Is it the water level sensor?

This ice maker is less than a year old and well maintained the unit would make ice for a day than not make anymore ice it keep the water moving , but when we took the the water sensor out of the water bath and wiped it down. It then ran again for a day then no more. I'm going to order water sensor. Everthing thing else checks out. Before the the ice maker would premature harvest. Go into defrost. Is this one of the problems with a bad water sensor. Thnxs any info would be a help. Thier is no tech support for maytag. What a waste of a product line , the cust bought it from Home Depot , called the support hot line they wouldn't cover warranty. They said its 2011. Now 2014. But receipt is dated 6 months ago from original purchase.
