My machine will not complete the drain cycle. I have replaced the drain pump and level sensor. I have done the diagnostics. Machine will not start the drain pump in board output test. Sound to me like the control board is bad. I have noticed there are a couple options for replacment of the board. 34001488 and 34001479 are these interchangable. What board should I use?

Answer Hello Richard, The part number you would use would be based on the series number of your unit. If the first 2 digits of the serial number is 10 then you would use part number 34001488. If the first 2 digits are 11, 12 or 13 then you would use board number 34001479. If first 2 are digits 14 or higher you will use part number W10273828.

Hi, my Front Load Washer has suddenly just stopped working, no lights, no noise, nothing. I've taken the machine's top off and the front control board is accessible. I'm suspecting the control board as nothing else on the machine has come up (no error codes or erratic behavior). Is there something else I should look for or test prior to ordering the new Control Board? My S/N# is: 14129749JX, and the machine has a date of 2006.12, although I purchased it in 2008. If it is a Control Board, which of the 3 shown on your website should I order? Thank you for your time.

Answer Hello MCHE, The first thing that you should always test is incoming power to the wall outlet. You should have 120vac to the small plug in on the wall to ground and to the large plug in. If you do not have 120vac to either of these then it is home supply. Once you determine that you have voltage to the supply at the wall then you want to check to make sure that the unit is getting power through the cord. This can be done by checking for 120vac on Machine control board on CN5 pin 1 to 3 and check from CN5 pin 1 and CN6 pin 1. If you have power at the control board CN5 1 to 3 but not at CN5 pin 1 to CN6 pin 1then you would need to replace control W10273828 if you do not have power but have power at the house supply then you would need new power cord. If you have power at both spots then you need to check wiring for proper connections.

Im trying to locate control board for my washer. It washes but doesnt spin fast. part #34001488. I found a used board but must be for a top load it doesnt spin fast but washes through all cycles so I believe I need a control board replacement.

Answer Hi Johnathon. The power control board is part # W10273828. Make sure the pump part 34001320 is clear and the door latch part 8182634 is properly locked at all times part this will not allow high speed spin also. Make sure the pressure sw. part #34001324 is good and hose to tub is clear. Thank You.

Series #:10636651GN I have your part number AP4044794 and have contacted Karen (ext. 2040) who has asked me to pose the question, "How do I make this part work on this machine?" This is a factory replacement part, not the same as the original that give me error code 2E on the display, which per the service manual for this machine tells me that "Voltage for motor control bus is over or under specified limit", and then tells me "Display '2E'. Replace machine control board." I tried to order the exact replacement (which has a black plastic surround, and black plastic on the control side), and have received the newer version which has grey plastic, an also has a motion control sensor & wire, which is not part of the original machine. Also, my original control board did not have connector CN11, where the motion sensor plugs in (per service manual). Additionally, if I hold the motion sensor bracket up to the inside of the machine, the holes do not line up with the screws at the cross brace and over the tab at the plastic control panel as suggested on page 25 on the service manual. For this reason, I feel I may not have the correct part, but am told that the technicians know how to make this work. Please do, and let me know.

Answer Charles, Based on your model and serial number you supplied, you do have the correct part 34001488 . This control has been upgraded and re-designed, and you will have to install the complete kit, for your washer to operate. You will need to follow the instructions carefully and completely. especially when you mount the sensor to the bracket and the bracket to the control panel brace under the cross brace assembly. The machine runs through cycles until first drain. Comes up as "nd"(no drain) code. If jumped with jumper wires from the pump, I drain the water out like it normally would drain. When I hear the water stop draining, I umplug, and it continues on to the next cycle. So basically I am babysitting the drain cycle. Has a mother board been known to fail within 4 years?

Answer Hello Paul. Look for loose or broken wires. If there is none, you will need to replace the PCB 34001488 in the unit. Hope this helps.
