I just had this new dish washer installed today. Looking through the manual I noticed that some models (not mine) have on the upper rack, a "sure hold shelf" it can hold extra cups or even better the horizontal tines on this shelf can be used to stablize stem ware. I have found some small add on gadgets that look like they would work but the flip shelf seems much nicer. Any ideas?

Answer Hi Dee. Your upper rack assy. is part # W10312791. It should come w/ all parts shown on the breakdown view. You can create a log in password as you can then enter your model # and see if the accessories are already what you have or not. Rely on the use and care manual to get the accessories part # you may need. You can also call our wonderful A.P.P customer service reps @ 1-877-477-7278 to see if we can further assist. when you need the parts. Your newest model may have these listed there on your guide list. Thank You.
I'm replacing my dishwasher, but none of the new models seem to have the extra fold-down shelves for the top or bottom rack (e.g. part # AP4113183) Can these parts be clipped into a new dishwasher? All brands, or only Maytag? Whirlpool?
Susan for Model Number mdb7100
Answer Hi Susan. Sorry but no, most model racks wont accept a folding tine assembly. Unless it was designed to have one from the start. Most manufacturers have adjustable shelves or convertible tines in their upper end units. Good Luck, and thanks for the inquiry.
