My washer will not start, the LED readout is not working. The outlet where it plugs in is fine, and I see no dark discoloration on any electrical components. The only issue I have found is a broken shock absorber. Would the broken shock absorber cause the washer to not start/LED not work? Thanks for your help.

Latest Questions

My washer has been having a vibration while on the spin cycle. It is worse with heavier loads such as blankets. I looked at the shocks and replaced the front two as they were leaking grease. The vibration has improved but is still there. Is there anything else I should check or replace before replacing the rear two?

My duet whirlpool drum moves a lot during the spin cycle. I opened up the back to check the shocks and everything seems to be in place and functionning. I also leveled off the base but it keeps shaking a lot (more than before). How do I know the shocks need to be changed or is it something else?

The shock absorbers on my Whirlpool Duet washer model # wfw9400sw01 have 3/4" to 1" of travel before they begin to dampen the movement of the tub. Is this normal or are they bad?
