Washer will not spin at High speed. All other levels work. I thought it was the shocks as it was bouncing around to much but after replacing the shocks it still will not spin at high speed level. The shocks did stabilize the drum better but it still will not spin at high level. Any thoughts and checks I can make?

My washer has quit spinning at the high speed level. It spins at all the other speeds just not the high speed. It appears to keep trying to balance the load which is why it wont spin at high speed. It will spin at High speed with no clothes in the washer(Empty). I noticed it appears the shocks are allowing the baskets to flop around to much therefore never giving a balanced load feel. Does this sound right. I was going to replace the shocks mine only has 3 not sure what the part number is.

Hello, I have the whirlpool model WFW9150WW00, and its bouncing around vibrating very badly. I noticed the rear shock seems to be to soft. Upon reading a few questions on here I noticed one person said they had 3 shock on their machine. I noticed mine only has 3 as well, two shocks on left side and one central mount shock on the right side. There seems to be provisions to move that shock on the right side to the front and rear of the frame and drum. Would adding a fourth shock and relocating the original central shock be beneficial, and what possibility does it have to void warranty contract? Thanks

I removed a couple of the shocks to see if they were bad. I noticed about an inch of slop before the shock appeared to work properly. Is this slop normal on these types of shocks? I would assume not. thanks, Tim
