Answer Hello Don. Remove the icemaker from the side of the freezer and unplug the unit to turn it off if your not using it. In order to turn on and off, you will need to replace the shut off arm on the unit.

Answer Hello Peggy. If the arm does not drop down, you will need to replace the icemaker in the unit. It is a bad icemaker.

Answer Hello Michael. You will pull the shut off arm out of the icemaker side first, it pulls out and then unsnap it from the fill cup. Then install the new arm 627792 in reverse order.
