Washer spins but clothes are still wet.
Answer Hello Chas. Check the thrust bearing kit 12002213 and see if it is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. You can test the thrust bearing manually, by turning the pulley clockwise it should agitate, and by turning it counterclockwise it should release the brake and spin the tub. You can also remove the thrust bearing and inspect it for wore or broke brearings.
Hi there, what special tools do i need to change out the tub bearing and seal kit,and also best way to remove the outer tub springs. while its out should i change the snubber ring it does shake alot
There is a spring removal tool for the springs which is part number TJ22002922. There is a seal nut tool TJ22002898 and spanner wrench 35-2968 for the hub and seal nut. The spanner wrench is not available any longer and there is a brake tool that is no longer available.
the washer shakes and moves during the spin cycle
Answer Ana, The friction ring/snubber 36108 could create a vibration issue if it is badly worn or "sticking" to the base or isolator. You will also need to check the centerring springs 35948 and ensure they're not stretched out or have loss their tension, and the base to make sure it is not cracked or flexxing when the tub moves.
