How do I change the spark module?
Answer Hello Frank. 1. Turn off gas supply and disconnect power
to the range.
2. Open the oven door and remove the racks
from inside the oven.
3. Pull the range out of its mounting location
so that you can access the rear of the unit.
4. Remove the left side panel. To remove the spark module:
a) Disconnect the wire connectors from
the module terminals.
b) Remove the mounting screw, slide the
module out from under the tab, and
remove it from the housing.
Hi, Byron again. I was wondering why the broiler igniter also won't ignite the broiler burner even though I hear it clicking and trying to light and gas is being released, but you're not recommending that I replace it also, along with the oven igniter. Thank you for your patience and help with this.
Answer Byron, Have you checked or has anyone reccomended checks at the gas distribution valve W10293048 ? The solenoid coils will disrupt the voltage to the igniters if they are weak(less than 200 ohms resistance) or there is a loose connection on the wires. And your sure the power corcd is plugged into a properly polarized and grounded 120 VAC outlet, and the arae of the burner tube(s) where the igniter is located is clean. Thanks and Good Luck.
