Most Interesting

I own an Amana gas stovetop that is only 7 years old. Recently I had a situation where the igniter kept sparking/clicking even after the flame had appeared and continued to spark/click when I turned it off. I unplugged the unit and the igniter stopped of course. After 10 or 15 minutes I plugged it in again and I heard a loud pop and the circuit tripped. I reset the circuit and tried it in another outlet and it tripped that circuit as well. Doesn't matter what outlet I plug it into so to me that means there is an issue with the electronics within the stovetop. That's where you guys come in. What needs to be replaced in order for the unit to work again. Just so you know, the house is 2006 construction and the unit has been working fine. No issues with wiring in the house or the service. The cord from the stovetop is attached securely and I don't see problems with it. Thanks! Mark

The old spark module that needs replacement in my stove is p/n 7431P043-60. The replacement I've received from you is P/N 7431P055-60. I'm told that the replacement should work, but doesn't look like the original and I have no idea how it is suppose to fit in the stove. Can someone help me?
