I have a Whirlpool gas range which would not ignite the bake burner. No spark..Replaced the ignitor , started once then nothing. I take it the spark module is next.
David
Answer Hello David. Yes, it sounds like the spark module may be the culprit. Thanks.

How do I test an existing spark module?
Chris for Model Number kgs907sssoo
Answer Hello Chris. If your having trouble with it sparking, more than likely you have a bad spark module. These take a special very high voltage meter for testing. Hope this helps.

My igniter for the oven is sparking, my gas valve is humming and my oven will not light. The stove top lights fine. Do I need this igniter board or the control board?
Calvin
Answer Hello Calvin. You can test at the gas valve. You should have atleast 9 volts dc across the red and orange wires. If you have this voltage, then you have a bad gas valve. If the voltage is not there, you either have a bad spark module or broke wire. Hope this helps.
