I seem to be missing the drive coupling components for my ice maker storage bucket which connects the square hole output fitting on the motor to the three (3) tooth fitting on the bottom of the ice bucket. I assume these are parts 25-30 on the ice bucket diagram. I do have the 3 tooth fitting on the bottom of the bucket, however the mating coupling, shaft (shown as a spring ???), washers, etc. are gone. I see that the small pin spring is not available. My question is: without all parts 25-30 can I make this drive system workable?
The parts that you would need to install to correct the missing parts are as follows: Coupling 2220458, motor shaft seal 2198628, Drive shaft washer 2212370, spring 2198607, drive shaft 999536. The key difference will be in the drive shaft. The opening where the spring and the pin would have gone was deeper on the original than it is on the new one. The pin was eliminated and you will just need to have the spring without the pin.
Ice bin motor runs but doesnt turn augers. Sounds like stripped gears. Need all parts associated with this problem.
Answer Hello Quintin. If the bucket is broke, you will need to disassemble it and find out which part you will need. If it is in the gear system, you will need to check the coupling 2220458, seal 2198628, washer 2212370, spring 2198607, and the spring shaft 999536. Hope this helps.
