How do I open the bottom panel to replace the spring for the door latch?

Answer Hello Zeffrey,
You need to use a paint scraper or putty knife, go between the top front panel and the bottom front panel, about 3 inches from the sides. If you get it above the spring clip, it will release the front panel as you pull lightly away from the appliance. Now doing the same thing on the opposite side, the bottom front panel should pivot forward, allowing you to lift it off of the bottom clips.
I need to know how this spring goes back into my dryer please i don't remember how to put this piece back thank you.

Answer Maria, One of the hook ends, usually the long straight end of the spring, is inserted into the slot on the door hinge on the inside of the front panel. You will need to look and find the two small holes in the front baseframe flange near the lower panel clips of the dryer cabinet and insert the other hook into those holes. Thanks and Good Luck
