How do we tell if our 3 suspension springs are weak? I just replaced all 3 2 months ago and now My machine is going crazy when spinning again. The other spring looks good and isn't broken either.

I recently bought a used stackable washer and dryer for my garage and when I put the first load in the Machine went crazy. I replaced the 3 Suspension springs and it worked great for 2 months, now it is going crazy again. Could it be something else? The other spring, that doesn't look like a shock, isn't broken but it is about 9in long when it is connected. Is this normal?

I am asking the same question as Scott did about the 3 springs. There is a collar (clamps) laying on the base of each spring assembly. Were the clamps used for shipping or are they suppose to hold the bottom and top cups together. If they are required to load the top and bottom spring cups, why are they not shown in the picture of spring part number AP4358664??

I have the exact same problem and symptoms as Ron in the previous question below, but I don't understand how a weak suspension spring would cause the tub to lean down and to the right side; since it appears to counter the weight of the motor assembly on the left side, I would expect exactly the opposite. Can you elaborate on your answer? >>Q: I have a problem with severe shaking during a high-speed spin. I have also noticed that the top of the tub is leaning to the right side of the washer. I have checked the suspension spring and it is OK (not broken or missing). I have inspected the 3 tub springs and they all look OK and not loose. My question is, could these springs be weak and therefore not keeping the tub level? Any info or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks. Asked by Ron for Model Whirlpool LTE 5243DQO >>A: Hello Ron. It sounds like the suspension spring AP4459650 is weak and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.
