Hello. I have a clicking sound issue. My Whirlpool refrigerator keeps frozen foods at 15 degrees f. and the fridge at 42 degrees f. with no ice build up, but the start device clicks a lot. I replaced the start device but the fridge still clicks. I plugged my "Kill a Watt" power metering device into the fridge, and noticed the following pattern: The fridge compressor will turn on, draw 130 watts and run for about 15 minutes. Fridge turns off, then about 10 seconds later, click sound and the fan only (no compressor) will turn on and the fridge draws 750 watts for about 5 seconds, then another click with the fan only for about 20 seconds, then the fridge turns off, no power draw. 10 seconds later the fan only turns on and draws 11 watts. A few seconds later a click, and fridge draws 750 watts for about 5 seconds with the fan going, then a click, fan only for another minute at 11 watts, then the compressor comes on and fridge draws 130 watts for a few minutes, then the fridge turns off. Any idea of what could be wrong?. The fridge did not always click like this. Sometimes the fridge will work fine, no clicking with on and off cycles every 15 to 20 minutes. During heavy use with family opening the fridge a lot, there is more clicking.
