Why is there a capacitor on the auger motor panel for the ice dispenser that does not have any wires connected to it? There is a white common, a ground, a purple and orange but that's all. Where is the wiring for the capacitor?? Thanks for your time and attention, George

I ordered a replacement start-dev (W10613606) for my Maytag MBF2256HES as the compressor stopped cooling the fridge. Upon installation, I noticed that the unit previously had a 'hard start' capacitor setup installed. I can't figure out how the wiring goes to the new OEM part I want to install. I removed the 'hard start' kit and am left with two spliced white wires, and a blue wire. The oem Starter relay has two pins, one marked with a red dot. Does the blue wire go to the 'red' pin and the two white to the other? Please help! The wiring diagram shows blue and white wires to the connector, but not sure what pins they go to. Thank you.

I have an Amana refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom. It will run sometimes but not others. If I unplug it and plug it back in, it usually cools down and shuts off when it is cool enough but then won't start running again so everything gets warm in both the freezer and the refrigerator. I looked at the damper in the refrig and it seems to be working ok. Could it be something in the controls? What controls the temperature in the freezer?

Latest Questions

Came home to water on the floor and refrigerator not cooling. I tested the compressor and it seems to be fine. The compressor will hum for about 10 seconds and then stop. If its not the compressor wouldnt it be the start devise or capacitor and if so can I install a 3 in 1 relay to take care of the problem? After I put everything back together and it was unplugged for a couple hours it started cooling rather rapidly but woke up to water on the floor again and no cooling. Thank for help!!

Hi. I have Amana sxd25aw side by side with overload and relay that have a total of 3 connections - top overload has black and blue wires together on one connection, bottom relay has grey wire on left connection, and black and white wires together on right connection. The replacement relay/overload/capacitor, WPL 67005560 has only two connections on the relay itself marked with L and N. Connection marked L is slightly larger than the one marked with N. How would I connect the existing wires to this new replacement? Thank you.

Refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. Determined the compressor was not running. Removed the start cap. and relay and checked the continuity to each pin of the compressor coil. No shorts. I checked the cap. and it seems to work ok. slowly charged up and then fired. When I checked the relay coil I got no reading. I believe it has an open coil. Can I order just the relay and not the capacitor. The part number seems to be for the assembly. My main question is why any thing has failed on what I was told was a top of the line unit and bought only seven years ago. I am really disappointed in this failure. We had to throw out everything in the frig. and the freezer. I expected it to last a lot longer than this.
