What is the function of this strain relief? Will the dispenser retainer alone do the work? It looks like it doesn't do anything?

Answer Hi Hans. It may not look like much, but the strain relief part # 2195051 is instrumental by taking the "strain" from the paddle action. It kind-of acts like a cushion between the control levers as they are clamped to the dispenser cover. Thank You.
